As this trip is drawing to a close, I was blessed to have a short visit with my oldest sister. We always have a good time together. Thanks Eldonna! After an overnight in Bakersfield, I headed over to Sherm and Pat's for a nice visit. When we got up this morning, the overnight monsoon storm deposited quite the load on the street in front of their house. On my way home from Sherm's, I heard this loud noise and then saw what looked like blue smoke, and then a bunch of dust. The driver of this truck told me he hit some debris in the road and lost control and ended up in the ditch. He didn't seem to be the worse for wear. I'm not completely sure of his story. It looks to me like he wandered into the concrete wall and climbed it with his front wheel several times causing hime to lose control and send him into the ditch. I'm sure the investigators will sort it all out.
