Oct 1st and a meet up for a three day trip up to the rim and then a New Mexico loop down through Alma, over to Morenci and back up to Springerville

We had another couple join us near the We Ko Pah Casino

Six bikes heading to Springerville

We're planning a picnic at Wood Lake and a few of us had to stop for the fixins.

I think John was expecting a bigger sub!

We are all getting hungry so no wasting time now.

Just a few more miles and we will be enjoying the view looking down from the very top of the rim.

Larry and Jackie on their 21 Spyder

Dave and Jane on their 21 Spyder

John on his new to him 21 RT 1200 BMW

His miles are all smiles

Dave and Ellen on their 25 Harley Tri Glide

Leading the ride are Steve and Andee on his 18 GoldWing

Best I could do for Lanny and Jeannie

No guard rails and fortunately no lovers leaps today

On a clear day you can see forever.

My beautiful wife

Finally it's time for the picnic and we were all ready.

Not surprisingly there were no left overs.

We paid on the way out

I thought Steve was lost but he was just taking us to Hawley Lake

Nice place and my first time there.

The Reed Lodge is our home for the next two nights

Memories

I forgot the name of this restaurant in Eager, AZ

Jackie is making sure Larry is making a healthy selection

Looks Serious

Are those softball gloves?

We got to spend two nights with Marilyn

Or is that Jayne?

Staging for the big loop ride

Taking Hwy 180 into New Mexico

Patriotic Trucker

Ellen took our picture at the overlook

Just in case you accidentally jump

So he doesn't forget it's a Spyder

I love small town stores.

Fuel, hardware, groceries, and most importantly, candy and camodes.

I liked the old homestead across the street.

I think Billy the Kid roamed through here a time or two.

Dropping down towards Morenci are these standing up rocks that remind me of the Chiracauas.

That scar on the landscape is the Morenci Copper Mine

A quick stop at the train station in Clifton

A very old bucket loader in Clifton

Stopped for lunch at the Miners Diner

Sure helped me remember it's name

The waitress taking the groups picture

Oh, this is so GOOD!!!

Way more then enough for Jeannie and I

She makes that tire look small

2000 horspower

It's a big PIT

I parked so the bikes seat was in the shade

The scenery riding up the Coronado Trail is out of this world.

We saw a lot of deer and elk, but the lighting was never favorable for a good picture.
